Position Description

Part-Time After-School Nanny / Family Assistant – Capitol Hill

We are looking for a warm, dependable UW student to help care for our two children, ages 8 and 10, for approximately five months this winter and spring.

Schedule: 12 guaranteed hours per week
Dates: Approximately mid-November through mid-April
Location: Capitol Hill, Seattle
Pay: $32–35/hour, depending on experience, plus mileage reimbursement
Potential completion bonus for staying through the agreed end date

Our children are friendly, active, and increasingly independent. Responsibilities would include:

• School pickup and driving to nearby activities
• Helping the kids stay on track with homework, reading, and music practice
• Preparing a simple dinner or snack
• Keeping the afternoon and evening routine moving smoothly
• Light, child-related cleanup

We are hoping to find someone who is kind, engaged, reliable, and comfortable setting calm, consistent expectations. A safe driving record and dependable transportation are required. Previous childcare experience and references are preferred. We also have two friendly Bengal cats, so comfort with pets is important.

This could be a great fit for a student in education, nursing, psychology, social work, occupational therapy, or another child-focused field who would like a consistent part-time position alongside school.
