The Haring Center Fund for Inclusion empowers nearly 150 children and families at our EEU School, promoting inclusion across Washington State. We provide essential training for educators, enhance services for children with developmental disabilities, and attract top talent in research and education. Our mission is to ensure every child receives the quality education they deserve.

Rainier Valley Early Learning Center

The Rainier Valley Early Learning Center (RVELC) is a hub where children thrive, families find support, and educators grow. Co-designed with the community, we offer affordable, high-quality childcare and anti-racist curricula, empowering early learning professionals and ensuring every child in the Rainier Valley has enriching experiences.

Diversifying Educator Workforce

The Teacher Education Programs (TEP) focus on diversifying the educator workforce by preparing teachers to inspire all students. With hands-on experience, mentorship, and research-informed practices, we cultivate passionate, diverse educators who transform classrooms and empower every learner.

The Brotherhood & Sisterhood Initiatives

The Brotherhood Initiative (BI) and Sisterhood Initiative (SI) at the University of Washington empower young men and women of color through holistic programs. BI enhances academic and leadership skills with mentorship and internships, while SI offers community support, leadership seminars, and personalized advising. Together, they equip students to overcome barriers and succeed in their journeys.

Unite:Ed

Unite:Ed shapes brighter futures for children and communities through partnerships at the University of Washington’s College of Education. We expand learning opportunities for underserved populations, especially children of color, by co-creating equitable projects and uniting families, educators, and researchers to drive lasting change in education.
