Position Description

About Us:
Magikid Robolab (Bellevue) provides hands-on STEM, creative building, and early technology programs for K–5 students across the Seattle Eastside. We partner with local schools to deliver engaging after-school enrichment where young children learn teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity through play and structured projects.

Role Overview:
We are looking for enthusiastic, patient, and dependable educators/instructors to lead and manage small-group after-school enrichment classes (Grades K–5).

This position focuses heavily on classroom leadership, positive behavior reinforcement, and active student engagement. You do NOT need an advanced engineering or programming background — our hands-on projects (using simple motors, and beginner-friendly STEM kits) are intuitive, and we provide complete curriculum, lesson plans, and paid training!

Key Responsibilities:
• Classroom Management & Leadership: Establish clear routines, keep 8–12 young learners focused and engaged, and foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning space.
• Interactive Project Facilitation: Guide children through fun, step-by-step hands-on building challenges, fostering curiosity and teamwork.
• Behavior Guidance & Support: Proactively manage transitions, encourage sharing/collaboration, and resolve minor conflicts with patience and positive reinforcement.
• Daily Operations: Manage classroom setup, facilitate clean-up routines, and ensure smooth, orderly student dismissal to parents/after-school coordinators.

Qualifications:
• Background or interest in Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Psychology, or related fields.
• Experience working with young children (K–5) in classrooms, camps, after-school programs, or tutoring.
• Strong communication, active classroom presence, and confidence in managing group dynamics.
• Hands-on enthusiasm — comfortable following visual building guides and learning beginner STEM toolkits (all training provided).
• Reliable transportation across the Bellevue/Eastside area.
• Must pass a standard background check.

Why Join Us:
• Valuable, hands-on classroom management and instructional leadership experience for your teaching career.
• Competitive hourly pay with a consistent, flexible weekday afternoon schedule.
• Complete, ready-to-teach curriculum and supportive mentorship provided.
