Position Description

Our family includes Dad and Mom (both surgeons), and two boys (4 and 2 years old). Our boys are gentle, silly, and affectionate. We are looking for a care giver and role model who would keep our boys safe, pick them up from school each weekday and spend approximately an hour with them afterward.

Having access to a safe car is a requirement, but we have car seats and would provide whatever else is helpful.

The boys go to the same school, about 10 minutes from our home in Capitol Hill.

At a minimum, the hours would be approximately 4:30pm – 6:00pm each weekday, and compensation would be $35 per hour.

If you are interested in more hours, we are open to it! We are happy to discuss what you want and make the schedule work for you. For example: weekly date night for a few hours, a few weekend hours, and/or home help (such as cooking, laundry, and/or light cleaning). Overall hours are open to discussion, and could be 7.5 hours per week (if only doing weekday pickup) up to around 25 hours per week (if doing all the above). We will hire with a W2 and sick hours / overtime hours compliant with the state laws.

We will not ask for you to work any major holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years – basically whenever the hospital or clinic is closed, and we can sort these out at the beginning or months leading up to the holidays.
