Position Description

We are a family with two kids, ages 5 and 7, looking for a warm, reliable, organized, and proactive part-time family assistant. This role includes one consistent weekly afternoon shift (ideally 1-5 pm) plus additional evening/weekend babysitting. We can discuss which weekday works best and are flexible around class schedules, including schedules that may change by quarter. Starting now would be ideal, but we are primarily hoping to find someone who can commit through the school year.

 The first part of the weekday shift would usually focus on household support (folding and putting away laundry, meal prep, tidying, organizing, etc) while the kids are still at school, and the latter part would include childcare once they are home. 

We are hoping to find someone who genuinely enjoys engaging with school-age kids. Our kids do best with someone who is friendly, outgoing, playful, confident, and able to connect with them. We are also looking for someone who is comfortable jumping into household tasks without needing a lot of step-by-step direction. We are happy to explain our routines and priorities, but the ideal person can notice what needs to be done and help keep the household moving.
