Position Description

The Kineo School is a private, non-profit elementary school in Kirkland, WA that provides a learning environment designed around the needs of neurodivergent students.  We are looking for a passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. If you have Special Education experience and are driven by a deep sense of compassion for your students, this job is for you.

This role will be for the 2026 – 2027 school year with part-time hours of 18.25 per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with teaching staff to develop personalized learning plans  
• Adapt lessons to meet diverse needs
• Foster a positive, welcoming classroom
• Collaborate with parents, staff and specialists
• Celebrate student milestones

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree  
• Washington State teaching certificate with Special Education endorsement 
• Great communication and teamwork skills
• Experience with IEPs preferred
