Position Description
We are looking for a warm, reliable, and engaging caregiver to provide temporary in-home childcare for our sweet 9-month-old baby boy, in our home in Green Lake, Seattle, from April 15 through September.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday
8:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Will provide ample notice for any upcoming PTO where childcare would not be needed.
About Our Baby:
Our baby is sweet, curious, and mild-tempered. He babbles, is just learning to crawl, and is great at sitting up and playing by himself. He loves to engage with people, laugh, and be silly.
About the role:
This position is focused on childcare only for 6.5 hours daily during the week (M-F). Responsibilities include:
- Watching and engaging with our baby
- Playing and supporting age-appropriate development
- Feeding
- Diaper changes
- Putting down for naps (He's on a two-nap schedule)
- Following the baby’s daily routine
- Outings such as walks or trips to the park or zoo are welcome.
What we’re looking for:
- Infant care experience
- Warm, dependable, and attentive
- CPR/First Aid certified preferred
- We are happy to pay for training if certification is not current
Location:
Our home in the Green Lake neighborhood of Seattle
Additional details:
- The mother (Kim) works from home, so if anything is needed or questions throughout day, she is close by. Will periodically check-in when there are breaks between work meetings.
- Driving is not required
Pay:
$25–$30/hour, depending on experience
