Happy 2025 Autumn Quarter! 

To those of you who are returning EduDawgs, welcome back, and to those of you who are new EduDawgs, we’re excited to have you join our CoE community. 

The Office of Student Services (OSS) is pleased to announce that we are officially rebranding to the Office of Student and Academic Services (OSAS) starting Autumn 2025. Our team, energy, and enthusiasm will remain the same (if not more excited!), and we hope that our new name change will be a better reflection of the services that we have to offer.

Who are we:

The Office of Student and Academic Services  is here to help you throughout your time in the College of Education. We are located in Miller 206, and we are open Monday-Friday, 9:00AM-4:00PM, unless stated otherwise (please see our webpage for any upcoming updates or closures).

We cultivate and empower diverse future educators through fostering community, academic success, and inclusive, equity-driven learning experiences. In the Office of Student and Academic Services, we:

• Promote inclusive enrollment
• Foster academic success
• Facilitate experiential learning
• Nurture community & networks

Our staff provides support with a range of issues and questions, including (but not limited to) those listed below. Please contact us for assistance!

• Advising and student support
• Application/admission questions
• Community resources & supports related to immigration
• Degree completion steps, deadlines and requirements
• Forms for UW, College of Education and Graduate School processes and procedures
• Graduation final steps, deadlines and logistics
• Maintaining student records
• Petition information and processes
• Professional and career development
• Providing a safe space for students to share concerns
• Referrals to other College and UW resources/offices
• Resolving unique or difficult situations

Lastly, we will continue to host many programming events this year as well and would like to extend an invitation for you to join us for our first big event of the 2025-2026 academic year, Welcome Day on October 9th! All College of Education students, staff, and faculty are welcome. We’d love for you to join us for a day of fun, community-building, and connecting with OSAS staff. Stay tuned for more details!
