Jiameng Gao

Jiameng Gao is an Assistant Teaching Professor in Multilingual Education at College of Education, University of Washington. Her teaching focuses on preparing teacher candidates and in-service educators to work effectively with linguistically and culturally diverse learners through inclusive, equitable, and linguistically sustaining pedagogies. She integrates arts-based and reflective approaches to support teacher candidates in developing critical multilingual awareness and instructional practices that honor students’ full linguistic repertoires. Jiameng has extensive experience teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in multilingual education, second language literacy, and differentiated instruction across multiple teacher education programs.
