Elizabeth Holland
My clinical interests include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP) for obsessive-compulsive disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities, neuropsychological assessment, and autism spectrum disorder. My clinical orientation is primarily cognitive-behavioral, and I integrate other evidence-based approaches as appropriate to meet the needs of the children and families I serve. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of settings, including universities, research clinics, public schools, private practice, and community health clinics.
As a Teaching Associate in the UW School Psychology Program, I draw on my experience as a clinician and a former public school teacher to support the development of future school psychologists and psychologists. My passion for teaching and supervision as well as these experiences continue to inform my approach to teaching, supervision, and consultation. I am particularly passionate about clinical training and professional development. I enjoy working closely with students during their practicum experiences as they integrate assessment, counseling, intervention, and consultation skills into their professional identities. I am committed to advancing excellence in graduate training and have served as a site visitor for the American Psychological Association's Commission on Accreditation as well as a postdoctoral supervisor. My goal is to help prepare reflective, evidence-based practitioners who can effectively support children, families, and schools. I am particularly committed to helping students bridge research and practice through high-quality supervision and applied training experiences.
