Christian Love
Christian Love is the Associate Director for Graduate Academic and Student Services in the College of Education at the University of Washington where he serves as the lead graduate academic advisor and directs the Office of Student Diversity and Inclusion. His former roles include serving as the program manager for the Othello-UW Commons where he cultivated programming and effective partnerships between the University of Washington and community-based organizations in South Seattle; graduate program coordinator and academic adviser for the Leadership in Higher Education M.Ed. Program; facilitation and training coordinator for Riverways Educational Partnerships; and research assistant/course instructor for the Brotherhood Initiative.
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Christian attended the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor where he studied psychology with a minor in Afroamerican and African Studies. In his spare time, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife and their four young children, mentoring youth and volunteering, serving on the Sports in Schools Board of Directors and Seattle Children's Odessa Brown Children's Clinic Governance Council, and playing sports (i.e. basketball, football, soccer, ultimate frisbee).
