Candice Small

As an alumnus of the UW School Psychology Program, I am honored to be teaching with the Program. I have been teaching for the Program since 2020 and have worked with students in both the Ed.S. and the doctoral program. My teaching philosophy is that I want my classes to feel collaborative and community-focused. I am a continuous learner and aim to approach my world and the systems I am a part of, with a sense of criticality. I love learning from my students and hope that my classes allow for a sharing of lived experiences and expertise that increases that meaning of the topics we are covering.
 

Apart from my teaching with the School Psychology Program, I also work as a clinical psychologist in private practice. I specialize in comprehensive assessment of children, adolescents, and young adults. Additionally, I provide individual therapy to support individuals and families. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at University of New Mexico in 2018 and my post-doctoral fellowship at Austin Child Guidance Center in Austin, Texas in 2019.
