Alyssa Bjorkquist
My name is Alyssa Bjorkquist, but you are welcome to call me Aly (if you prefer). I am the Program Coordinator for the School Psychology Program. My administrative duties involve supporting the operations for the classes and events in the School Psychology Program and behind-the-scenes work for the School Psychology Clinic. My academic and professional background is centered around science communication and learning in nontraditional learning spaces. I have worked at outdoor camps, aquariums, zoos, and children's museums, as well as private and public schools as a science educator. I'm excited for the opportunity to blend my experiences in education and psychology into this role at UW! I am originally from Southern California, but my husband and I fell in love with the Pacific Northwest during our undergraduates at the University of Oregon (Go Ducks!). We moved up to Seattle in 2022 and are deeply grateful to call this our home. When I'm not working, you can find me watching movies, playing with my sweet rescue dog (Loki), trying out new baking recipes, reading, birding, volunteering, and paddleboarding.
