To provide financial assistance to graduate and/or Ph.D. students in the University of Washington College of Education School Psychology program. If no appropriate School Psychology candidate is identified in a given year, distributions shall be held and accumulated until such a student is identified.
To provide financial assistance to graduate students in Educational Leadership with preference given to students who have expressed a career interest in educational leadership: including teacher leadership, principal preparation, and systems-level leadership.
To provide fellowships for students in the College of Education's Danforth Educational Leadership Program.
To provide scholarship support for students in the College of Education.
To provide assistance to graduate students in the College of Education who have completed their chemistry degree and are seeking to become a high school chemistry teacher
To provide financial assistance to meritorious students, with financial need, who aspire to teach in Washington State public schools.
The "number, amount, and recipients of the scholarship will be determined by the members of the Zeta Chapter of Pi Lambda Theta, according to criteria and procedures established by the Chapter from time to time. Determination shall be annual...".
Please use Martinez Fellowship criteria w/ 3 year committment in high-need WA state public school. (Consider: Graduate students seeking to become teachers, preference to economically disadvantaged backgrounds, first in family, and/or students with a deep experience in diversity, or with diverse cultures, a genuine commitment to serve in economically disadvantaged communities). Fellows will participate with Martinez Fellows.
Candidates must be admitted to the MIT or SpedTep programs, have a minimum 3.5 GPA, and be a graduate of a Washington state high school.
