The ECE program equips you with the research-based best practices that are key to professional success and advancement in the field of early childhood and family studies. The ECE major offers two pathways: Teaching & Learning and Core. The Teaching & Learning pathway is designed for students interested in early childhood teaching and learning professions, while the Core pathway is designed for students interested in professions supporting children and young families outside of the classroom.

The ECE program offers both full-time and part-time enrollment options. Full-time enrollment typically consists of 13-15 credits each quarter (including summer) for approximately two years. Part-time enrollment typically consists of 8-10 credits each quarter (including summers) for approximately three years.

You can learn more about the curriculum, pathways, and courses at the below links and in your online advising session. Your adviser can help you to determine which pathway is the right fit for you.
