The UW ABA Program provides a Master’s degree in Special Education, the BACB Verified Course Sequence (VCS), and supervision necessary to apply to sit for the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) exam. Students not needing a master's degree can elect to take just the VCS.
Students may choose to complete the VCS in one year by taking two courses each quarter for four quarters (fall, winter, spring, summer), or in two years by taking one class each quarter. Students wishing to earn a Master's degree in Special Education complete an additional three-quarters of coursework.
All classes meet in the late afternoon (typically, at 5 pm PST) to accommodate teachers and others working full time.
BACB Verified Course Sequence
The Behavior Analyst Certification Board, Inc.® has approved the following course sequence as meeting the coursework requirements for eligibility to take the Board Certified Behavior Analyst Examination. Applicants will have to meet additional requirements to qualify.
