Undergraduate Engagement; Curriculum and Instruction Graduate Intern
The Pipeline Project is a K-12 outreach program that connects undergraduate students from the University of Washington with educational and service opportunities in local and regional schools and community organizations through tutoring and mentoring. The Pipeline Project is housed in The Center for Experiential Learning and Diversity.
Our Mission: The Pipeline Project offers undergraduates community experiences that help them discover personal and academic directions; that provide under-serviced K-12 students with individualized tutoring and college role models; that support the work of public school teachers; and that bring academic departments at the UW into direct contact with the greater educational community.
Our Vision:The Pipeline Project will strengthen its powerful connections to students, faculty, staff, and community partners.
Graduate Intern will have the opportunity to develop strategies for undergraduate engagement, including reflection and learning opportunities for current volunteer tutors. Have the opportunity to lead an education focused seminar for undergraduates who are engaged in service learning. Develop curriculum that will be used in Pipeline undergraduate seminars. Orient and support volunteer seminar facilitators.
