Join the College of Education for a discussion of our 2016 Common Book, Ta-Nehisi Coates' Between the World and Me, and explore the role of the nation's education system in the integration and marginalization of children of color.

A panel discussion will take place from 11 a.m. to noon followed by table discussions from noon to 1 p.m. Serving as panelists are Holly Schindler, assistant professor of education; Filiberto Barajas-Lopez, assistant professor of education; and Wayne Au, associate professor at education at UW Bothell and a graduate of UW Seattle College of Education. Joy Williamson-Lott, professor of education, will serve as moderator.
