What is the University of Washington's role in advancing equity alongside community movements and initiatives in true partnerships? Whose knowledge counts in the efforts of establishing educational and social justice?

UW Associated Students of the College of Education and the Multicultural Education Rights Alliance present a conversation in conjunction with the College's Common Book reading The New Jim Crow by Michelle Alexander. Join us for dinner with community leaders, educators, activists, parents, youth, law and public policy students, and social workers to open up deeper discussion about these vital issues.

Contact Meixi Ng, Maries Huening or Kerry Cooley-Stroum for more information. Free childcare is provided at this event.
