Graduate Students: Prospective Student Days
Congratulations on being offered admissions! This year we will host both an on-campus series of events (March 30 and 31) as well as webinars for those who cannot join us in person (March 15 & April 12). On March 30 & 31, we have planned our events in conjunction with the campus-wide Graduate Opportunities and Minority Achievement Program's (GO-MAP) Prospective Student Days so that you can maximize your time here on campus. Please let us know you are attending by registering here.
Graduate Students: Individual Visits
If you are unable to participate in Prospective Student Days, we are happy to offer the following recommendations for your visit:
- Coordinate a short conversation with a faculty adviser about your degree program, research interests, funding opportunities, or any number of topics. You can contact faculty through the online directory and learn more about the program areas.
- Meet with a current student to learn about the student experience. For recommendations, reach out to your assigned faculty adviser or to Norah Fisher, Student Services Specialist for Graduate Programs.
- Diverse students can access resources and support through the Office of Student Diversity & Inclusion
- Connect with Norah Fisher, our Student Services Specialist for Graduate Programs to schedule an appointment.
- Observe a class by visiting our Current Courses webpage and selecting from the courses in your area of interest. Please obtain instructor permission.
Congratulations again on your admission! Students enrolling in the Early Childhood & Family Studies are welcome to explore the UW in a variety of ways:
- The Office of Undergraduate Admissions offers Daily Visits each weekday, which include a guided campus tour led by a UW student.
- If you are a new transfer student enrolled in the On-Campus ECFS major, you will be invited to attend a Transfer Advising & Orientation session, hosted by the First Year Programs.
- If you are a new student enolled in the Online ECFS major, you will be invited to an online orientation session.
- All students can schedule an appointment with their adviser to learn more about the major and UW requirements.

Entrance from University Village Shopping Center: Pend Oreille Road, off 25th Avenue Northeast

Padelford Garage is the closest to Miller Hall - but is not wheelchair accessible
UW Daytime rates – entry from 6am-5pm, M-F
30 min-1 hour – $3
Over 1 hour to 2 hour – $6
Over 2 hours to 3 hours – $9
Over 3 hours to 4 hours – $11
Over four hours – $15
$15.00 is the cost to park ($5.00 after 5 p.m.) when entering the campus. This can be refundable when you leave depending on length of time spent on campus. See pricing above. When exiting you can stop at the gatehouse for a prorated refund if you parked on campus for less than 4 hours. Cash and Visa/Mastercard payments are accepted. Prorated refunds are available whether payment is made with cash or Visa/Mastercard.
For disability, wheelchair, or special accommodations parking please let the gatehouse attendant know once entering campus.
Lot N22 is the closest lot to Miller Hall and has wheelchair and disability parking
There is only one wheelchair and disability accessible entrance into Miller Hall. This entrance is located on the backside (NW corner) of Miller Hall - facing Steven’s Way and has an exterior ramp, and a 46.5” doorway with automatic doors.
This entrance is closest to Lot N22 and the elevator located on the first floor serves floors 1 through 4. This elevator does not serve the mezzanine level. If you have an appointment on the mezzanine and need help rescheduling you can reach out to email@example.com for questions.
