The University of Washington College of Education will celebrate the graduation of more than 700 teachers, researchers, leaders, policymakers, early childhood professionals and other educators on June 11.

Student speakers at the event are Yasmin Aguilar, a master's student in higher education, and Maria Fe Andrea “Eya” Manansala Lazaro, a undergraduate major in Early Childhood and Family Studies. Presenting keynote remarks will be Erin Okuno, executive director of the Southeast Seattle Education Coalition — an alliance of community-based organizations, educators, parents, caregivers and Southeast Seattle residents working to improve education for children of color.

The College of Education's graduation celebration will begin at 7 p.m. Pacific time at Hec Edmundson Pavilion and be broadcast live on YouTube and Facebook.
