The University of Washington College of Education will celebrate its Class of 2020 during an online ceremony starting at 6 p.m. Pacific on Tuesday, June 9.
More than 700 educators, researchers and leaders will be honored the graduation ceremony. The live program will feature:
- Remarks by Dean Mia Tuan
- Undergraduate Student Speaker Fatima Sheikh (Bachelor of Arts in Education, Communities and Organizations)
- Graduate Student Speaker Diana Velazquez (Masters in Teaching with an endorsement in English Language Learning)
- A special reading by Siamak Vossoughi, Artist-in-Residence
Following the live program, viewers may watch three pre-recorded videos featuring recognition and reading of names of graduates: undergraduate degree recipients, master’s and specialist degree recipients and doctoral degree recipients.
Messages of congratulations to the Class of 2020 are encouraged by following the College on Twitter and Instagram and using #HuskyEducators and #UWgrad20.
