Since 2013, Early Achievers Institutes have brought together experts in the field of early childhood education to inspire best practices. Next month's Early Achievers Institute in Yakima will include early learning professionals covering a broad range of subjects, from positive behavior support with young children, to infant and toddler care, to learning in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics. The institutes are an opportunity for Cultivate Learning at the University of Washington to bring leading edge research and developed best practices to early learning professionals in the field, and hear from child care providers about successes and challenges in the learning environment.

Cultivate Learning’s priority is to make resources accessible and available to early learning educators and childcare providers across the state of Washington. Sessions will be offered in Spanish as well as English. In addition, participants have an opportunity to earn STARS and Clock hours for attending. Hotel scholarship applications are available in English and Spanish (due by 5 p.m. June 25).

Registration is now open. This Institute will take place Friday, July 13 through Sunday, July 15 at the Yakima Convention Center. Sessions will be primarily for infant and toddler teachers, preschool teachers, family child care providers, directors and coaches, but all Early Achievers participants are invited to attend.

Cost is $30/person and lodging scholarships are available for early registrants.
