The District Leadership Design Lab (DL2) gives districts across the country a hands-on partner with the know-how to help central offices lead to improve results for all students. We partner with school districts across the country to help create high-performing central offices and districtwide systems that enable principals to lead and teachers to teach for student success.

The District Leadership Design Lab works with districts to:

  1. Create partnerships between executive-level central office leaders and principals; helping principals grow as instructional leaders who lead powerfully for improved instruction in every classroom.
  2. Transform the central office into a high-performing service organization that provides high-quality, relevant and differentiated instructional, human resources, business, and other services to support the learning-focused partnerships for schools.
  3. Lead by teaching and learning — engaging all central office staff in continuously finding, designing and implementing progressively more effective services and supports for districtwide teaching and learning improvement.
