Overview of Position: This position coordinates the provision of technical assistance for early childhood education in assigned Head Start classrooms. In addition, this position supervises and guides staff to ensure the delivery of Head Start early childhood education services. The role conducts monitoring and observation of classrooms to comply with the Head Start Performance Standards and will also participate in program planning, projects, activities and the development of goals and objectives. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Three (3) years in early childhood and responsibility for supervision and evaluation of staff; Five (5) years preferred; Bachelor's degree, with an emphasis in early childhood education or closely related field; Master's degree preferred, or closely related field; or an equivalent of education and experience. Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the relevant knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the work will be considered.
