Magic Lantern Preschool is located in the Seattle Hillman City neighborhood, with a supportive director and staff that works as a team. We are looking for educators who approach their daily work with joy and reflection, seek true partnership with families, and value the side-by-side work with children and co-teachers. Teachers work as part of an equal teaching team with the support of a mentor teacher to provide learning experiences for children ages 3 to 5 years. SHIFTS AVAILABLE Part-time: up to 20 hours/week | 10am-5pm Full-time: up to 40 hours/week | 8:30am-4:30pm QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 1 year of experience working in a Preschool setting-preferably Montessori ECE Initial Certificate or signed up to take classes (AA/BA degree in ECE/Education/Human Development preferred) CPR and First Aid certified or willing to obtain 18 years of age or older Negative TB test/MMR & COVID vaccine DCYF Background Clearance 30 hours STARS training or Merit waiver SKILLS Enjoy working with preschool children Ability to have professional, respectful interactions with children, families & co-workers Knowledge of and previous experience working with diverse populations BENEFITS Benefits for staff (employed 25+ hours per week) include vacation pay, safe and sick leave, holiday pay, medical/dental (after 3 months of employment), on-site training and opportunities for professional development.
