Upward Bound is looking to hire a math tutor for 15-20 hours a week to tutor students at Kent Meridian High School. TRIO Upward Bound serve low-income/first generation college students to help them prepare for success in college. Math subjects include algebra, pre-calculus, calculus, statistics, and other STEM subjects. Tutoring will occur in the Kent Meridian library. Qualifications and experience: Bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree (college juniors and seniors will be considered). At least one year tutoring or teaching with a diverse population and/or similar age group as the UB target population. Time Commitment & Compensation: Up to 20 hours a week $18-$25 hours DOE.
