JOB POSTING: Primary Grade Instructional Assistant Full-time, full benefits _________________________________________________________________________________ APPLY TO: Villa Academy OPEN DATE: September 2022 Hiring Coordinator CLOSING DATE: open until filled JOB OVERVIEW Villa Academy is seeking a Lower School Instructional Assistant in the primary grades to join our Lower School faculty. Our teachers are enthusiastic, creative individuals who are child-centered and actively engaged in seeing and developing the full potential of each student. In addition to work in the classroom, all instructional assistants attend in-service days, faculty/staff meetings, appropriate training sessions, and participate in many all-school events. QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: Early Childhood/Community College and/or University degree (Teacher certification considered a plus!) Experience in working with young children in school/church setting Volunteer work with children in a variety of settings Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Fidelity to the mission, vision and values of Villa Academy Commitment to equity and inclusion and an understanding of its important role in academic excellence and student growth.
