Position Description: 
Hello there! I am seeking a research assistant to help with background research related to higher education, specifically cross-border student mobility in the Pacific Northwest and Indigenous education. I am a Cross Border Fellow at Western Washington University and current PhD candidate in Higher Education at OISE. My primary dissertation research is on Treaty responsibilities of Canadian higher education and Indigenous student access to higher education. Duties include preparing literature reviews and background research on Canadian higher education and the U.S-Canada border. Approximately 20 hours work up to $600 USD, starting on or around October 1. Work remotely with occasional Zoom check-ins. The ideal candidate is a graduate student in education (or a related field. Should have familiarity (or willingness to learn) about Canadian higher education and appreciation for Indigenous higher education. Candidate should be collaborative, a self-starter, and able to work in an interdisciplinary environment.
