The Office of the Dean in the School of Public Health (SPH) is seeking a full-time Access and
Advocacy Coordinator (payroll title: Program Operations Specialist (E S 7). The Access and
Advocacy Coordinator supports and assists in the successful coordination and implementation
of accommodations and other services for students with disabilities who enrolled in SPH
courses and works under the direction of the Assistant Dean for Students. This position will also
be the point person for the SPH Special Arrangements process and activities for both students
enrolled in degree programs in the School of Public Health and instructors of courses in the
School of Public Health.
Brief description:
● Serve as primary contact in SPH for students, instructors and DRS for issues related to
providing accommodations and special arrangements for students enrolled in SPH courses
(50% FTE)
● Work collaboratively with students, and faculty and staff colleagues as necessary (20%
FTE)
● Coordinate centralized SPH services related to accommodations (15% FTE)
● Track work and issues (5% FTE)
● Stay current in field (5% FTE)
● Other duties as assigned (5%FTE)
Minimum qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Public Health or related field plus 2 years of
applicable experience,
