Hi there! I'm really looking forward to learning with and from you while working to establish a welcoming, authentic community space for us in the College of Education.

As a UW alum and Seattle native, I hope to provide you with valuable programs, resources and support as BIPOC, international and historically excluded students. As someone who is passionate and expressive, I like to say that I enjoy “shaking the table” in as many spaces as possible - especially those that were created to exclude people like us. My background is in human centered design and management consulting, if you want to  talk about either of those (or both) - let me know! 

My general research interests are in creating culturally sustaining, safe and empowering curriculum and classrooms that support Black students in the US K-12 education system. Specifically, I want to work on preparing future and current teachers to engage in strengths-focused and culturally sustaining family engagement practices.
