Application Requirements Ph.D. The Higher Education Doctoral program is not accepting applications for 2020. Please check back with us in spring 2020 about the 2021 cycle.
Applicants will first choose M.Ed. Curriculum and Instruction in the Graduate School online application. From there, you will then choose Multicultural Education as your area of interest.

The doctoral program (Ph.D. and Ed.D.) for Multicultural Education is not reviewing or admitting for the 2020 cycle.
Applicants will first choose either M.Ed., Ph.D. Curriculum and Instruction, or Ed.D Curriculum and Instruction in the Graduate School online application. From there, you will then choose Math Education as your area of interest.
To apply for this program, select "Ph.D. Curriculum & Instruction or Ed.D. Curriculum and Instruction" in the Graduate School's online application. From there, you will select "Teacher Quality and Teacher Education/ Teaching and Curriculum". Applicants must have a Master's degree or higher to apply for these doctoral programs. For applicants interested in M.Ed. please select from other Curriculum and Instruction M.Ed options.
January 6th is a priority deadline for Low Incidence Special Education for Autumn 2020. After January 6th, applications will be accepted on a space available basis through June 1st or until the program is full. Applicants will choose Education - Seattle M.Ed. Special Education Severe Disabilities in the online application for this low incidence option.
Applicants will first choose either M.Ed. Curriculum and Instruction, Ph.D. Curriculum and Instruction, or Ed.D Curriculum and Instruction in the Graduate School online application. From there, you will then choose Language, Literacy, and Culture as your area of interest. Applicants to the Ph.D. or Ed.D. program must hold a Master's degree or higher.

Applicants will first choose either M.Ed. Curriculum and Instruction, Ph.D. Curriculum and Instruction, or Ed.D Curriculum and Instruction in the Graduate School online application. From there, you will then choose Science Education as your area of interest. A master's degree or higher is required for the Ph.D. or Ed.D. program.
